Oct. 20, was the formal dedication of the two homes we built on Walnut St in Lockland. Dale Smotherman, Joyce, Darren and I Getz were there . Darren blessed the homes and the partner families and presented each family with a prayer shawl and a prayer book from St Thomas. It was a wonderful ceremony. We had a chance to tour the homes. They are truly beautiful. The partner families are thrilled and eternally grateful to all volunteers who made this a reality for them. My personal thanks to Darren and to all volunteers, especially the lunch providers, and to all of the parishioners who, through their monetary pledges, have made this possible for these deserving families.

Our next workday is scheduled for Sat., Nov. 10 at the Roselawn site at 1402 Kenova St. We do not provide lunch on this date. I am asking for someone to represent St Thomas on this day because Joyce and I will be out of town. If you are willing to do this, please contact me and I will send the e-mails to all volunteers.
