St. Thomas’ Composer-in-Residence, Dr. Douglas Pew, recently won 2nd Prize in the Musica Sacra International Composer Competition for his Kyrie for Double Chorus.
The Music Sacra Competition is a significant international event created by the Polish composer Pawel Lukaszewski. Dr. Pew’s Kyrie was adapted from his larger work, Missa Musica Sacra for choir and organ. The St. Thomas Parish Choir sang the original version of Kyrie last year.
Congratulations to Dr. Pew on this wonderful accomplishment!
