Principal Flutist Randy Bowman of the Cincinnati Symphony will be our featured artist for the Bach Vespers on Sunday, January 12, at 6pm.
Mr. Bowman will present a Prelude Recital beginning at5:45pm. Joining him will be the Cincinnati Bach Ensemble as they present Bach’s Cantata 151, “Susser Trost, Mein Jesus Kommt” (Sweet Comfort, My Jesus Comes) along with vocal soloists YoonGeong Lee, Cathy Fishlock, James Onstad, and Jonathan Cooper. Cantata 151 was originally performed in Leipzig following Christmas in 1725.
The St. Thomas Schola Cantorum will chant service music during the Vespers.
