The Rev. Dr. Robert E. Reynolds, a retired priest of the Diocese of California, began serving St. Thomas Church as an assisting priest in 2006, before being called to assume the duties of Interim Rector in 2008. Upon the election of Fr. Darren Elin as Rector, Fr. Bob was invited to continue to serving on the parish clergy staff.
Prior to his retirement from fulltime parish ministry, he served parishes in the dioceses of Oregon, Spokane and California. Upon his retirement as Rector of St.Paul’s Church, Walnut Creek, California, Fr. Bob was elected Rector Emeritus. Along with serving on diocesan councils, standing committees, and as a university chaplain, he also was a rural dean for seven years in the Diocese of Spokane. In addition, he served as president of the Clergy Associations in Oregon and California, as well serving twice as a deputy to the General Convention. Active for many years with his wife Elizabeth in the Church’s healing ministry, he is also a member of the Association of Christian Therapists. A native of Arizona, he graduated from Arizona State University and the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, California. The Church Divinity School awarded him a Doctor of Divinity degree in 2012.
