Fellowship

Coffee Hour
The focus of this ministry is to provide an opportunity for fellowship – to meet and greet newcomers and other parishioners after both the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services. After the 8:00 a.m. service, we meet in the Parish Hall with the participants in the Formation Classes. The adult teachers, participants and the children really appreciate the opportunity to grab a drink – coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or juice – and a snack before the classes start. After the 10:30 a.m. service, we serve in the Church Parlor to more readily ”capture” the attendees at that service. On most Sundays, the Parlor is filled to capacity!

Martha Guild
The focus of this ministry is to help keep the kitchen tidyand the shelves and preparation surfaces clean on a monthly basis.

Fellowship and Supper Club
This ministry was originally known as the “Senior Class.” It was formed to bring together our St. Thomas members who were 55 or older. Our goal was to enjoy fellowship, entertainment, and support for one another. In 2011, we’ve enjoyed monthly dinners at the Terrace Park Country Club and monthly field trips for education and/or entertainment.

In 2012, with the new name of “Fellowship/Supper Club,” we look forward to all ages joining in these activities. The dinners are held the third Thursday of every month (except February) beginning at 6:00 pm. Special monthly activities are listed in the various communications of the church.

If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Lou Scott at 831-4353 or by e-mail.

St. Thomas Library
Books in the Parish Library are shelved in the Parlor and include a wide variety of choices for both adults and children. Included are books meant to help us find strength, comfort, and a greater understanding of our Christian faith, as well as some just for pleasure reading. The books may be checked out by anyone. All that is needed is to first find an interesting book. Then, write your name, the date and your phone number on the card and place it in the box on the shelf. For more library info, including how to use our online catalog, click here!

Memorial Receptions
The focus of this ministry is to provide receptions following Memorial Services as a gift from the Parish. During 2011, the group provided Memorial receptions for four families. People can become involved by adding their names to our list of volunteers who help serve or provide cookies for the receptions. Contacts are Linda Rockaway or Lois Knox.

Hospitality and Special Events
The focus of this ministry is to provide food, drink, decorations and organize volunteers to serve shared parish meals and special events. Requests for volunteers are sent out on an as-needed basis via e-mail. Lead-organizers for particular events are always needed. To be placed on the Hospitality volunteer list, please contact the Church Office, or Zoe Hardy.
